How public-record connections work

Follow a connection far enough to understand what supports it. Every relationship should have an explanation, its original source and a clear boundary around what it establishes.

Source-declared relationships

An explicit source reference can link a published application to its drawing or a filing to a reported organization. Read the relationship’s type: a publication link does not establish ownership or approval.

Matching fields and research leads

Identifiers are qualified by their issuing source. Shared names and text mentions remain unconfirmed leads. A similar name alone cannot establish that two people or companies are the same.

Geography and time

Nearby records provide context, not proof of a business or personal relationship. Original source dates are retained. A scheduled date is not evidence of completed work, and an old relationship is not automatically current.

Original evidence and missing information

Open available source documents, inspect the exact fields and compare records. The atlas preserves gaps instead of inventing explanations, motives or identities. It does not contain every Houston public record.

Try it in the atlas

Choose a record, inspect its source fields and compare the available related records. Read what supports a relationship before relying on it. A phone-verified account can browse records. Verify your email to use Atlas research tokens and keep conversations in your account.
