HOUSTON PUBLIC RECORDS · ORIGINAL SOURCES

Houston public records, connected

Public information is scattered across reports, maps, spreadsheets and documents. Houston God’s Eye brings selected sources into one place so you can inspect a record, read its original evidence and follow the connections yourself.

Start with a record

Create a free account and verify your phone to browse the public atlas. Select a record to see its original fields, source dates and available documents. Compare related records and inspect the evidence behind a link. Verify your email before using Atlas research tokens or purchasing a plan.

Follow evidence, not assumptions

A source-declared relationship is different from a shared name, matching identifier or nearby location. The atlas explains the match, retains the source and shows where evidence is missing. It does not infer personal motives or recommend political conclusions.

Available evidence and coverage

Counts describe stored source records, which may include repeated report appearances or document pages. They are not counts of unique projects, businesses or incidents.

Development proposals · dated plat reports

Publisher
City of Houston · Planning & Development
Record dates
2024-01-11 → 2026-09-14
Retrieved
2026-09-23
Coverage and limitations
  • Proposed plats, replats, variances and special exceptions for consideration; appearance is not approval, construction or completion.
  • The same application can appear in several reports. Counts of appearances are not counts of distinct projects.
  • Archive labels can differ from dates inside a report. Both are retained; date filters match any declared event date.
  • Applicant and developer labels are source statements, not verified beneficial ownership or a complete holdings inventory.
  • No inferred coordinates. Tax-account numbers stored imprecisely by the source are not repaired or joined.
  • Unsupported document formats and archives outside configured years are not extracted. Word tables are paired only when row positions and repeated titles agree. Phone fields are omitted.

Building permits · historical residential and demolition reports

Publisher
City of Houston · Planning & Development
Record dates
2024-01-02 → 2024-12-31
Retrieved
2026-09-24
Coverage and limitations
  • Counts are report rows, not necessarily distinct permits, projects, buildings or approvals. Repeated project identifiers and repeated rows remain separate source evidence.
  • PROJ_NAME, PRMT_DESC and FCC_CODE_DESC are the publisher’s wording. No applicant, individual approver, beneficial owner or holding company is supplied by these workbooks.
  • SOLD_DATE is the publisher’s date label, not a completion date or proof of who approved the work. BEG_DATE and END_DATE are retained without inferring permit validity or approval periods.
  • ESTIMATED_VAL is the source’s estimated value, not a verified contract, budget authorization or payment. Do not total repeated project rows as independent spending.
  • Addresses describe project sites as published; no geocoding, municipal-boundary inclusion or ownership is inferred.
  • Cached spreadsheet formula results are preserved without recalculation. Repeated headers retain their column positions. Unlabeled columns retain their values without inferred meaning.
  • Only configured, successfully acquired historical workbooks are included. Current Sold Permits access and unavailable 2025 links remain separate source gaps.

Council decisions · recorded outcomes

Publisher
City of Houston · City Secretary
Record dates
2024-01-02 → 2026-09-01
Retrieved
2026-09-23
Coverage and limitations
  • Repeated source action references are retained as separate flagged passages, not silently corrected or counted as distinct legal decisions.
  • Collective all-aye/balance-aye statements are preserved without assigning votes to unnamed members. Absence at a meeting opening is not evidence of absence for a later vote.
  • Meeting start dates can precede an action by one day in two-day sessions. Inspect the original PDF for the exact action time.
  • Procedural motions, amendments and substantive approvals remain separate actions. A motion proposer or seconder is not automatically recorded as a yes vote.
  • Names refer to an official role in the source minutes. Short labels are resolved only against a unique full name in the same document roster; no identity merge with current officeholders or other sources.
  • Failed documents retain prior successful records and original retrieval dates. Missing/unparseable actions are disclosed, not filled in or treated as absent.

218 STORED RECORDS

Housing recovery · published contract rows

Publisher
City of Houston · Housing & Community Development
Record dates
2015-04-03 → 2029-02-22
Retrieved
2026-09-23
Coverage and limitations
  • Contract amounts, CDBG-DR amounts and orders are different measures. Repeated total contract amounts must not be summed as city spending.
  • Execution/end dates and identifiers can be missing or inconsistent. Original values are retained; malformed dates are not repaired.
  • The column labeled DUNS also contains other formats. It is not treated as a verified global company identifier.
  • A contractor name is a reported role on this table. Cross-source name matches do not establish legal identity, ownership, individual votes, lobbying or influence.
  • Document links are provided as published. Their current availability and full contents are not independently verified by this table connector.

Houston legal entities & consolidation parents

Publisher
Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation
Record dates
Not established in the catalog
Retrieved
2026-09-23
Coverage and limitations
  • LEI registration is not a census of Houston businesses. Solely searching for Houston cannot establish exhaustive geographic coverage.
  • Direct and ultimate parents are accounting-consolidation disclosures, not a complete beneficial-ownership or company-asset inventory.
  • Parent retrieval is bounded to 150 seed entities per run; name matches with lobbying clients remain unconfirmed and are hidden by default.
  • Registration and relationship status can be lapsed or historical. See each source record and reported period.
